The Journey is a series of paintings that look at and celebrate the cultural diversity and complexities of the Yemenite Jews and all people who are on an emotional journey, living in the diaspora. The paintings use the colour of dyes, fabrics and spices that provide a distinct connection between past and present and helps us to understand and learn from each other:

“The use of narrative in my practice is a way in which I feel I can create a meaningful piece of art, one that is woven from a story. I then have an assortment of ideas, concepts, text, colours, textures, objects, materials, and more to work with.”
